The Tour and Travel Operations programme at Embu College is a competency-based training course accredited by CDACC and designed to prepare learners for the dynamic tourism and hospitality industry. The programme focuses on equipping students with practical skills in travel consultancy, tour operations management, destination marketing, ticketing systems, customer service, and sustainable tourism practices.
Tourism remains one of Kenya’s key economic sectors, and this programme is structured to align with industry standards, preparing graduates to operate efficiently within tour companies, travel agencies, hotels, airlines, and government tourism departments.
Level 5 (Certificate): 3 Modules (3 Semesters)
Level 6 (Diploma): 5–8 Modules depending on progression
Each module is delivered using CBET methodology, where learners are assessed based on demonstrated competence in real or simulated workplace environments.
